The Alfred-Wegener-Institute for polar research and oceanography is currently constructing the new Antarctic station “Neumayer-Station III” in Bremerhaven. When complete the station will be shipped to the Antarctic by sea freight once on site it will continue to provide the German polar research for the next 25 to 30 years. This construction has been patented by the Alfred-Wegener-Institute and offers the facilities of research and living in one building. This more modern station shortens the time required to complete most tasks and the majority of scientific measurements can be taken, irrespective of the weather.
“Neumayer Station III” even has a parking garage; however, the highlight is a hydraulic lifting device. Due to this unique construction the station will not disappear into the ice, like the ones before it. This means that no components will be left in the snow and the operating time will be extended.
Kermi convectors, profile and flat panel radiators with integrated valves as well and Mediano towel radiators provide a comfortable temperature in an icy environment.
